New Feature for Image2Punch Pro version 8.x.x.
Honeycomb Pattern
The main development for Image2Punch Pro version 8 is the introduction of Honeycomb Pattern. This new pattern is different compared to other patterns in Image2Punch.
In order to create a perforated pattern, a grid consisted of many points will normally be generated and so a particular tool (i.e. hexagon or round shape tool) can be laid on each of the point in that grid.
In the honeycomb pattern family, there are 5 pattern subtypes that are based on the way a hexagonal or, a honeycomb shape is divided equally. The illustration below is the result of 6 segment pattern subtype of the honeycomb pattern.
Custom Tool for Laser Tooling Mode
In previous version, we can only use the predefined tool shape in Laser Tooling Mode. But in Image2Punch Pro version 8, user can use any custom tool and this will make the job easier to generate perforated pattern. The parameter to determine the maximum and minimum can choose amongst three categories: Width, Height and Enclosed Diameter.
A custom tool in diamond shape like is used to generate 50 tools as illustrated below. The parameter to determine the maximum and minimum is the height. The minimum height is 5.0mm and the maximum height is 30mm.
Simple Movie Clip for Stippling Pattern 2
The last feature that has been added is a feature to save the stippling pattern progress into a movie clip. This video clip can be used to learn and investigate the iteration process. This video clip will also be a good source for presentation of the stippling project.
