Reduction Filter

This is a newest filter added on Image2Punch Pro version 7.2.0 and above to help user to reduce the number of colour in the image and so it will leave the dominant colour. The total dominant colour will be defined by the user including the background color ( i.e. white ).

This filter is very useful especially when user is trying to create a pattern where the tooling colour will be matched with the pixel color by setting the data range classification using the Tool Colour. If the image has pixel that different with the color of selected tools. The area will be left empty and without any hole.

The Reduction filter can be accessed from the sub menu in the navigator Bar. From the image below, we can see that it only has 4 dominant color (defined by the user) which are; White, Blue, Red and Yellow. Other color will be replaced by one of these 4 color dominant. If you can see the image, it is now has a very “jaggy” border between the color and this is the type of image that suitable when the  “Pattern by Color” option in Data Range Classification is selected.
